ABSTRACT
The authors have obtained inclusion complex of disulfiram with hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin in a powder form. By the hanging drop method in a humid chamber crystals suitable for X-ray structural analysis are obtained in which it is established that disulfiram crystallizes from a saturated solution of the complex. The amorphous nature of the inclusion complex and hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin is confirmed by a powder X-ray diffraction method. According to the absence of intense peaks in the diffractogram of the inclusion complex characterizing the crystalline structure of disulfiram, the formation of the inclusion complex is confirmed.
