Mission
Universum: Social Sciences is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal that brings together researchers in the field of social sciences from Russia, the CIS countries, and abroad.
The journal's mission is to promote the development of science and the dissemination of reliable scientific knowledge by providing open access to the results of fundamental and applied research in the fields of sociology, political science, history, philosophy, cultural studies, and related social and humanitarian disciplines.
Objectives of the journal
- publication of original scientific research of theoretical and practical significance in the field of social sciences;
- ensuring independent expert evaluation of manuscripts through double-blind peer review;
- support for scientific schools in the field of social and human sciences, young social scientists and postgraduate students;
- integration of authors from Russia, CIS countries and abroad into international scientific communication;
- compliance with international standards of publication ethics (COPE).
The journal is open to research reflecting current social transformations and public processes in Russia and the world.

The journal is indexed in the scientific electronic library eLIBRARY.RU, Google Scholar, and international periodical directories. Research articles are assigned a DOI. Metadata is published in Russian and English.
