АННОТАЦИЯ

В статье рассматривается ряд устойчивых мифов в отношении России, которые основываются на объективных факторах российской внешней политики. На протяжении столетия в западной науке вырабатывались геополитические теории, отталкивавшиеся от надуманных выводов о политических процессах внутри великой евразийской державы. Исходящие из академических кругов ложные представления укоренились в западном политическом дискурсе и общественном сознании. В XXI веке они продолжают использоваться с целью оправдания антироссийской риторики на международной арене.

ABSTRACT

The author examines a number of persistent myths concerning Russia. They base on the objective factors of the Russian foreign policy. During the century the western political science was working out geopolitical theories resting upon factitious conclusions about political processes inside the Great Eurasian Power. Academic circles had generated misconceptions which perpetuated in the western political discourse and social conscience. In the 21^st century they are going on to be the instrument for justification of the anti-Russian rhetoric on the international arena.
