АННОТАЦИЯ

Статья посвящена анализу проблем, связанных с причинами и обоснованием в идеологии императора Траяна Дакийских войн 101―106 гг. Автор рассматривает дискуссионные вопросы, отразившиеся в историографии, посвященной Дакийским войнам, привлекая в основном работы XXI в. Рассматриваются объективные и субъективные причины войн Рима с даками, а также специфика пропаганды, предпринятой Траяном для легитимации этих войн.

ABSTRACT

The article covers the analysis of problems connected with causes and explanations in Emperor Trajan’s ideology of Dacian Wars (101―106). The author deals with debating questions reflected in historiography of Dacian Wars and uses works of the 21^st century. Objective and subjective reasons of Roman wars with the Dacians are reviewed and the specificity of Trajan’s propaganda, taken for legitimization of these wars, is also under study.
