Linguistic context of polysemantic words in the sphere of tourism (using english word «foreign» as an example)

АННОТАЦИЯ

В настоящей статье исследуется проблема выбора соответствующего значения многозначного слова с учетом его зависимости от лингвистического контекста. Проанализированы возможные варианты перевода англоязычных слов на примере прилагательного «foreign» как в контексте, так и в словарных статьях. Определена необходимость более тщательного подхода к вопросам обучения студентов-будущих специалистов сферы туризма, адекватному и полноценному иноязычному переводу.

ABSTRACT

The problem of the appropriate choice of polysemantic words meaning as well as its depending on the linguistic context is investigated in the article. Possible versions of English words translation are analysed on the example of the adjective «foreign» both in a context and vocabulary entries. The necessity for more careful approach to the educational methods of adequate and complete foreign translation for the students majoring in tourism is appointed.
